Skyttehuset´s Camping is placed right in the heart of the remarkable natur, here you will find many marked paths for bicycle and walking trips. The area around Silkeborg has many atractions to offer, but it is also possible to take a fresh dip in the lake or enjoy a picnic in Silkeborg´s beautifull nature!
One of Denmark´s cleanest lakes, about 7 km. around. !5 min. from "Skytthuset". Lovely place for swimming!
Denmarks tallest spruce about 47 meters high in the forrest arround Slåen lake.
Take a trip with the oldest steamboat ind the world "Hjejlen".
The boats sail between Silkeborg and Himmelbjerg the whole summer. It it possible to get on and off along the lake.
This "mountain"is with its 147 m. above sea leavel the 3rd highest point in Denmark. The beautiful veiw from Himmelbjerg. over the great lake Julsø, makes this place very special!
Silkeborg city is a lovely place for shopping.Visit Silkeborg´s new development "Papirfabrikken" by the harbour. Here you will find cafe´s, restaurants, cinama’s and many exciting things to enjoy!.On the main square in the city, you will every Saturday during the summer find the marked, with a lot of inspiring things to buy.
Near the harbour is one of Silkeborg´s oldest buildings and museum. Her you can see the 2400 year old "Tollundman".
The Art museum is to be found in the town park "Indelukket" and has a collection of Asger Jorn´s world famous Cobra Art.
Northern Europe´s largest fresh water aquarium. Lots of aktivities for children!

One of the great attractions in Bryrup is the old steam train.
Take a beautiful trip of 5 km. though the nature , it is the shortest journey by train in Denmark – but definietely the most scenic.
Labyrinthia has various kinds of outdoor mazes and labyrinths, i.e. Europe’s largest 3Dmaze!
